The U400 5 axis machining center is the large-size model in the compact U range. Use the large U-series size class as a starting point when the compact-series comparison calls for more setup capacity.
Evaluate access through every required machining orientation. Linear travel alone does not describe the clearance around a tilted or rotating setup. Compare the U320 using verified work-envelope and installation data. Send a 3D part model and fixture information, and state whether your toolpath requires indexed or simultaneous five-axis machining.
