CNC Turn-Mill Machine

Turn-Mill Machine Introduction

Choose a CNC turn mill machine around the turning, milling and second-side operations required by your part. This range includes Y-axis models, dual-spindle models and five-axis turn-mill machines in different size classes.

Identify the turned surfaces, milled features and any second-side operations before selecting the machine architecture. The TCK6050Y and TCK70Y have a Y-axis and driven-tool turret. TCK2300B and TCK3100LY provide further Y-axis choices. Compare the SY models for dual-spindle requirements and HTMC500T or HTMC800T for five-axis turn-mill work. Confirm the exact axis and tooling arrangement for the proposed process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are all turn-mill machines configured the same way?

A: No. A driven-tool turning center and a five-axis mill-turn machine can have different machining architectures. Match the axis arrangement and tooling to the required operations.

Q: When does a Y-axis help?

A: A Y-axis can support off-center milling and drilling with an appropriate driven-tool and control configuration. Check travel and tool access for the required feature.

Q: Does dual-spindle automatically mean complete machining in one cycle?

A: No. Second-side completion depends on spindle arrangement, transfer capability, tooling and part geometry. Confirm the proposed sequence before making a production commitment.
